Hey! I’m Téa.

7 things to know about me:
1. I started performing as a kid when I made my big debut as "Candle Soloist #2" in the school Grandparent's Day play, and have been bitten by the performance bug pretty much ever since
2. I mostly don't care about sports, but I'm from the Twin Cities in Minnesota, so whenever it comes time to cheer for a team I'm all "Skol, Vikings"
3. I'm currently in the last semester of my BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Directing at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN (love you, LDoT!)
4. Except for basketball. I like playing basketball.
5. I strongly believe that theatre is for all of us. As Thornton Wilder put it, "[Theatre] is the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being."
6. I am interested in telling stories that help us better understand each other and challenge our assumptions about each other. I value and enjoy finding the truth of the character first and foremost. I like playing characters who are fired up and passionate.
7. I like some cliché stuff, ok? Sue me. I love a good latte and the entire Nirvana discography, and 1984 is my favorite book (I know, I know, sorry). But I also love Sondheim, all things Halloween, dinosaurs, and Spikeball, so I feel like that balances it out, right?
"But in the end, stories are about one person saying to another : This is the way it feels to me. Can you understand what I'm saying? Does it feel this way to you?"
— Kazuo Ishigiro
"Make them laugh, make them cry, and hack to laughter… I am a servant of the people. I have never forgotten that."
— Mary Pickford
